Filters, tablets, and ozone all work differently — but only ozone offers fast, broad protection. Filters can remove dirt and many microorganisms, but unless they are extremely fine (0.01 micron or smaller), they cannot reliably block viruses. Even then, ultrafilters can be compromised if frozen, dropped, or damaged. Tablets can inactivate many pathogens, but they take time to work and often leave a chemical aftertaste.
Ozone works quickly. It is a powerful oxidizer that inactivates bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms without adding chemicals to your water. It leaves water tasting fresh and clean, and with electrolytic ozone devices, there are no filters or tablets to replace — making them lightweight, reliable, and convenient for travelers and adventurers.
