No, not at all. Our electrolytic ozone generators emit far less ozone gas into the air than traditional air-based systems. That’s because our technology produces ozone directly in water, not in open air—so most of the ozone stays dissolved where it’s needed and quickly reverts back to oxygen after use.
Unlike large-scale ozone machines used for mold remediation or odor removal (which flood entire rooms with gas), Roving Blue devices are designed for safe, everyday use in kitchens, bathrooms, and off-grid settings. The ozone concentration in the air is extremely low and well below levels that would pose any health concern under normal use.
If you can smell it, that means it’s working—but you do not need to evacuate your home. Just make sure you're in a well-ventilated area, and you're good to go.
