The FortiFilter is similar to the LifeStraw "Peak" series of ultrafilters, designed primarily for outdoor use like backpacking, camping, and hiking. These filters use microfiltration technology that targets bacteria, viruses, and cysts such as cryptosporidium and giardia when used with our ozone devices like the Ozo-Pen or the GO-3.
However, it is important to note that the FortiFilter is not designed to remove harmful chemicals or metals from water. For areas with high concentrations of these contaminants, consider alternative filtration methods or bottled water. We hope to develop a filter that can address these concerns in the future!
