If it is your intent to travel, and use tap water of unknown safety as drinking water, you should be fine with our devices alone.
However, if you are using it with surface waters from lakes and streams, that could contain larger-than-virus-or- bacteria sized organisms, we would recommend that you pre-filter the water, with a filter of your choice. There are many on the market today to choose from. They all work well, but you never know when they have been compromised. A combination of a filter + ozone treatment is ideal. We are currently researching a filter to sell that would pair nicely with the GO-3, so stay tuned!
