Ozone is a form of oxygen, it has 3 oxygen molecules instead of 2, so it is referred to as "O3", "tri-oxygen", "active" or "activated" oxygen". Most people understand it as a form of dangerous pollution (it is), or as that layer in our atmosphere that protects the Earth from from harmful UV rays (it does). However what most people don't understand about ozone, is that if your dissolve it into water, for a brief period of time it becomes FAR MORE POWERFUL than chlorine. This water is called "aqueous ozone", or more simply just "ozonated water". It is very good at killing things that might make you sick. So ozone is widely used by municipal water treatment plants, and by large water bottling companies to make water safe to drink. Other companies also use ozonated water in spray bottles, because you can actually make tap water behave like a disinfectant spray for things like cutting boards and counter tops. The neat thing about ozone is that it wont remain for long as it quickly degrades into ordinary oxygen. So you can spray it on food, countertops, use it on athletic clothing, etc to clean is a safe, non-chemical way. The important thing is to remember that "power of EO3" or electrolytic ozone generators like the kind made by Roving Blue, are far safer than the gas-type ozone generators, which release far more ozone into the air you breathe.
